The most often overlooked branding opportunity at trade shows is right beneath your feet: the floor of your booth. Most of your competitors take the easy way out: They rent a gray or black carpet from the show organizer. But that only serves to make their booths blend in with everyone else’s.

There are all kinds of options for trade show flooring. We’ve ranked them from lowest to highest impact.

  1. Foamcore interlocking floor tiles: Lightweight and low-cost, foamcore tiles are a popular trade show flooring option because they ease the tired feet of your marketing team. They’re also easy to ship and easy to install — it’s like putting together a kid’s jigsaw puzzle. The downside: Foam core tiles are easily damaged by high heels, and they won’t last for more than a few years. Individual tiles can be replaced, however.

  1. Rollable vinyl flooring: Vinyl trade show flooring comes in five-foot vinyl strips that are simple to unroll over a foam underlay. The range of looks is endless: natural stone, exotic hardwoods, bamboo, geometric designs, etc. Vinyl flooring can also be custom-printed with your logo. If you’re hesitant to place your company’s logo underfoot, talk to us about dimensional flooring that has a clear acrylic top layer. Visitors walk above your branding, instead of making direct contact.

  1. Customized Carpet: Durable, high-quality carpet beautifully compliments your display and feels welcoming underfoot. We can match your carpet to your brand colors, print it with your logo elements, or (and this is where we really get excited), integrate it into your backwall for a seamless and three-dimensional design. Carpet can also be combined with hard flooring to define spaces within your booth, helping with traffic flow and also inviting visitors to linger.

  1. Raised flooring: If you want a surefire way to elevate your booth design, raised flooring is it. We’ll be honest: It’s heavy, it’s big, it can be a challenge to assemble, but it looks awesome. Adding a light strip around the side, or lighting the entire floor, makes a dramatic visual impact. Do check your show regulations, however, as some prohibit raised platforms. Ramps may be necessary for ADA compliance.

Whichever trade show flooring option grabs your attention, we can make it work for your brand. Flooring does add to shipping costs and lead times — but when it’s done right, it looks so good.
