Stylists say you should always accessorize with one statement piece: a bright scarf, an unusual pendant, a chunky ring. The same wisdom applies to trade show booth design — instead of always showing up with the exact same display, why not freshen your look a little.

We’ve talked about how you know it’s time to invest in a new trade show display. But sometimes you don’t need an entirely new display; you just want to tailor your messaging for a particular event. Here are a few ways to do it:

  1. Install monitors.

If your messaging or offers change frequently, the easiest way to keep your trade show display up to date is by adding one or more flatscreen monitors. These have become surprisingly affordable and lightweight, so even a large, 40-inch screen can easily be affixed to a standard booth frame.

  1. Add placard, banner or podium messaging.

Many of our clients attend co-branded events where they need to display a sponsor’s name, or a message about how their company supports a particular cause. The easiest way to display temporary messaging is by adding smaller graphic elements, such as a placard that hangs on your display or an extra banner stand.

  1. Opt for a trade show display with interchangeable graphics.

If you need a new trade show booth, but you’re hesitating because your company’s brand positioning/messaging changes often, talk to us about it! We can design an exhibit that permits easy, cost-effective updates. One of our favorite solutions is a lightweight display that consists of nine graphic panels, each 30 inches square. You can easily swap out one or more panels, for a fraction of the cost of getting a whole new backwall. Here are a few examples.
