How Asset Management Helps to Maximize Efficiency

Share This Post:

The pandemic reshaped many things about office life. In fact, for a while we didn’t even know if it would exist, and indeed, for a while, it DIDN’T exist. This also broadened the hiring pool, and many companies utilized the opportunity to develop teams with employees all over the country. Now many organizations are requiring at least a hybrid in-office work situation, but still a number of people operate away from the office. One of the downstream effects that we have seen for many organizations has been inefficient ways to manage shared items. The marketing closet of old has become spread out amongst open cubicles, trunks, home closets, and storage units. This is where our asset management program has become key.

Storage

We had clients at the start of the pandemic who shipped in all of their marketing assets to our warehouse to manage, and since then we have added more and more. One consolidated location to maintain all marketing materials like trade show displays, promotional items, apparel, literature, employee gifts, etc. Our storage rates are calculated on a cubic foot basis, so clients only pay for space they use.

Inventory Management

When we store, we upload all stored items into our web-based inventory system that can be accessed 24/7 by our customers. They can see inventory levels and allocate for events. We are able to provide almost all necessary items to be able to replace stock that is running low. This allows us to be a second check on inventory. We can say, “Letting you know, you’re down to 100 pens. We can reorder 1,000 for $X and have them here in one week.” This saves a conversation and reorder process with an additional vendor, and prevents a rush reorder.

Shipping/Logistics

In addition to storing the items, we can ship them. We manage large crated booths, small package dropships, and everything in between. We ship and receive freight and packages all over the country (and beyond). So our storage clients don’t worry about whether they have a dock, or someone to receive goods that day, it is processed and tracked in the inventory system for them.

Fulfillment

Whether a shipment of promotional items to a trade show, an employee welcome set, or a few polos and mugs sent to the CEO, we can easily manage it for our clients. The asset management system allows our clients to give us the what, when, and where, and our warehouse team takes it from there.

Maintenence

Most of our clients don’t have space to setup, or tools or ability to maintain their exhibits properly in-house. In our warehouse we have room to setup and takedown displays, and are fully capable of keeping them in tip top shape. This sometimes means replacing parts, fixing damaged crates, or even getting stains out of fabric graphics. We do most of this stuff without our clients even knowing it was done. Taking away none of their time, effort, or energy on these situations.

The goal of our asset management program is to make life easier for our clients. One place to manage all marketing items online, one vendor to make the orders through, and one location for them to reside. This program helps clients save time and money, and increase their team’s productivity. If you’re interested in learning more about asset management with FrontLine Exhibits, contact us today!
