Budgeting For Success

Share This Post:

We have the privilege of working with all types of companies and organizations, from one-person startups to Fortune 100 juggernauts, someone’s passion project to major non-profits, and everything in between. The range and scope of the events covered also vary tremendously. I can say with certainty that no one feels like they have enough staff to execute well, and no one feels they have the budget necessary to achieve their vision. We pride ourselves on being flexible to adapt to whatever our clients need, getting adequate brand coverage for whatever the available budget is.

Developing a Budget

Oftentimes, the budget is presented as here is what is available to spend. In the best cases, though, it is derived from forecasting results. Establishing goals for the event and then developing quantitative metrics of success for those goals. Then, determining the value of achieving those goals. If the goal is generating leads, what is the value of a lead and how many can you reasonably expect to get from the event. Tracking sales back to an event is challenging but important. Some events feel important, but may be less effective than other seemingly smaller, less “important” events. If properly measured, budgets can be established for events based upon the likelihood of return on investment. We can help try to formulate metrics of success with our clients.

Maximizing Budget

Once a proper budget is determined, we can help to best achieve the desired vision for the booth space. We have a range of products that provide a similar look, but may vary in areas like hardware quality, lead time, ease of setup, portability, etc. Despite how that may sound, the tradeoffs typically end up being minimal. We can also help with accessorizing a space, using rental components, repurposing displays and graphics, and more to stretch budget dollars. We’ll highlight the most important products or brand elements with the majority of the dollars and fill in the remainder with lower-cost options. The strategy is never the exact same for every client or event, but we have years of experience and a great supply base to support the efforts effectively.

Honing dollars into the right events and right areas of focus to achieve specific goals gives the best bang for the budget buck possible. If you’re interested, we will partner with you to determine goals, strategy, and execution. Contact us if you’re interested in learning more!
